- Prepare, review, and manage staff deliverables including tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, multi-state, etc.)
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and stay current on changes in tax laws.
- Prepare and review complex U.S. and multi-state/international income tax returns for business entities, including consolidated and nonconsolidated C-corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships
- Assist with business development efforts, including but not limited to, meeting with prospective and existing clients, preparing fee quotes and proposals, and evaluating clients' needs
- Handle tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and financial statements for tax-related items.
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team and other departments on tax matters.
- Mentor and develop junior tax staff, fostering professional growth and development.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Master's degree highly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong focus on compliance and planning.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Must be able to meet 150 credit requirement for CPA eligibility
