The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process to direct and deliver comprehensive nursing discharge instructions to patients in discharge suite in a safe and proficient manner according to individual patient needs.
This position will assist in the coordination of post-hospital needs of all patients going home in order to promote quality, continuity of care and safety for the patient.
The Discharge RN will meet the needs of the patient, to facilitate timely, and appropriate discharges from the hospital.Provides direct patient care based upon HCA and Las Palmas Del Sol Hospital Standards of Care and Standards of Practice, Polices, Procedures and Practice Guidelines.
Provides guidance and supervision to Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), Nursing Technicians, Nursing Assistants and Unit Secretaries.Experience as a Patient Care Technician in an acute care setting or capstone rotation in St. David's HealthCare and Las Palmas Del Sol facilities.
Associate's Degree-Major:
Nursing
