Description

Position Overview:

As a Diagnostic Imaging Department Manager at our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the diagnostic imaging department. Your role will involve managing administrative, technical, and clerical functions to ensure the department meets quality, access, and budget targets. You will oversee a full-service department catering to both inpatient and outpatient needs, encompassing a range of imaging modalities such as Radiology, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and more.

Main Responsibilities:

Support the Imaging Service Director in addressing clinical needs and developing strategies for an integrated service line.
Manage daily department operations including scheduling, performance monitoring, and compliance with standards.
Ensure equipment and procedures meet safety and diagnostic requirements.
Oversee budgeting, cost reduction initiatives, and staff management.
Lead training and development of imaging staff, while staying updated on technological advancements.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality regulations set by accrediting bodies.

Requirements:

Supervisory experience in imaging department within the last three years.
Familiarity with high-volume imaging environments.
Excellent communication, human relations, and regulatory knowledge.
Proficiency in computer skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist.
Imaging certification such as CRT, RDMS, ARRT, CNMT, ARMRIT is desirable.
Advanced registry with ARRT certification is a plus.
