    About the Role

    The Learning and Development Specialist plays a key role in designing, implementing, and delivering learning programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our colleagues.

    The Learning and Development Specialist partners with various stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop engaging curriculum, and facilitate interactive learning sessions to support colleague growth, development, and optimal business results.

    Responsibilities
    Client Focus

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and best practices, integrating relevant insights into training programs to maintain a competitive edge in service delivery.
    • Deliver exemplary internal client service through strong professionalism and project ownership.
    • Work closely with the brand partners to develop & deliver brand required trainings that supports the client experience.
    • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to make data-driven improvements to training content and delivery methods.
    Collaborates

    • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration across brand partners, retail, HR, and business teams.
    • Collaborate with the UK L&D team to innovate and improve learning platform, programs, processes, and methodologies.
    • Partner with departmental managers to prioritize learning initiatives and strategy through stakeholder engagement, based on organizational goals, development projects, change management, and colleague developmental plans.
    Drives Engagement

    • Conduct workshops and sessions as needed; develop learning plans as required and culturally integrate new colleagues into the organization.
    • Utilize effective training techniques and methodologies both in-person and virtually, ensuring active participation, knowledge retention, and achieve desired learning outcomes.
    • Promote a culture of learning; engages in continuous self-development and supports development of other colleagues through frequent feedback.
    Action Oriented

    • Design, develop, and manage comprehensive training materials that encompass various facets of luxury retail, including client service, product knowledge, and job-specific skills, including manuals, presentations, participant materials and e-learning modules, and on-the-job training.
    • Liaise communication and manage coordination between brand partners, department teams, and retail including calendaring events and classes, live and virtual setups, ordering and prepping program materials for a seamless colleague experience.
    • Implement assessment tools and feedback mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
    Communicates Effectively

    • Maintain LMS (Learning Hub) including the refining, update, and organization of courses, learning plans, brand news, etc.
    • Drive and promote effective communication throughout the Group, monitoring learning outputs on a regular basis.
    • Create experiential activities geared towards adult learners, while working closely with subject matter experts.
    • Frequently interact with colleagues to validate methods and performance.
    • Respond in a timely manner to inquiries and questions from colleagues and other key stakeholders.
    Essential Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Communication, Business, or related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in retail sales and/or retail management; luxury retail environment preferred.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills with a keen eye for detail and high quality of work.
    • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems, software, and other web-based technologies such as Docebo, Visme, Genially, Canva, etc.
    • Ability to adapt learning materials for a variety of platforms and channels, including web and video; leverages visual tools, e.g. infographics and images, to accompany content.
    • Extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite (PPT, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) with ability to quickly learn other applications, as necessary.
    • Flexible and has the ability to travel to support and deliver L&D activities.
    • Knowledge of adult learning practice, facilitation and training techniques and ability to apply instructional design and content writing methods to deliver impactful learning programs.
    • Strong curiosity, learning capacity and independent decision making.
    • Works well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to be organized and obtain information from several sources will be key in providing effective support for key campaigns and projects throughout the business.
    • This Learning & Development Specialist role is extremely varied and requires the successful candidate to be adaptable and resilient, while also being able to juggle several responsibilities on a day-to-day basis.
    • An approachable and positive person, you will possess the ability to work with teams across several departments to reach agreed outcomes and deadlines, while also being comfortable working and managing project alone.
