- Prioritize matters (thousands each year) for handling claims and litigation including assisting attorneys with responding to discovery requests by gathering internal documents
- Process and monitor responses to subpoenas addressed to the Company
- Work with insurance carriers to obtain investigative reports and updates on all sensitive claims and provide same to the attorneys for reporting, updating, and auditing files
- Develop working relationships and handle regular communications with business clients, suppliers, outside counsel, and consultants
- Assist attorneys in responding to indemnification requests, management letters, attorney representation letters, and video preservation requests.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a large publicly-traded company
- Paralegal Certificate required
- The applicant must demonstrate strong skills in the following areas:writing, analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal and time management
- Applicant must be comfortable working independently, as well as a part of a team, and will be required to effectively prioritize a large volume of confidential and time-sensitive work with short deadlines
- Contribute to the team's success by being an active participant and promoting a shared responsibility for achieving results
- Comfortable working in a paperless environment, with electronic documents and electronic records management.
