    $130,000.00 To 145,000.00 Annually
    Position Summary
    HBD Industries is an integrated operating company of middle market manufacturing businesses. HBD operates five business platforms, each of which designs and manufactures highly-engineered industrial products for mission-critical applications.
    All eleven (11) sites across HBD are deploying the HBD business system, at varying levels of maturity. All sites are working the foundational elements of 5S, daily visual management, standard work, and problem solving.
    The Corporate C.I. role will collaborate with plant managers to develop and execute on their site continuous improvement roadmaps. This includes all aspects of identifying, preparing, and facilitating successful kaizen events at the factories.

    In addition to this area of focus, the role can be asked to support the deployment of any business system element required to improve business performance at any HBD site.

    We are seeking a highly skilled leader with deep kaizen facilitation experience, and proven experience in manufacturing leadership roles.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across our organization, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall productivity.

    This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, a proven track record in leading Kaizen events, and the ability to effectively engage and motivate teams on the shop floor.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities
    Teach, coach, and facilitate efforts to deploy business system fundamentals at the HBD sites. When any site adds a kaizen event to their C.I. roadmap, this role partners with the plant manager to successfully execute the event. Follow up efforts will be required to ensure sustainment.
    The C.I. roadmaps across HBD generate numerous opportunities for a C.I. leader to teach, coach, and facilitate execution of process improvements. This role may be assigned to specific C.I. efforts at any site that lacks the maturity to get it done themselves. Any type of C.I. effort is fair game.

    In addition to delivering favorable impact to the site, it is expected that this role teach the site "how to fish".

    Driving the execution of process improvements in our manufacturing facilities should include (a) delivering meaningful training, (b) facilitating formal kaizen events, (c) "getting dirty" alongside the stakeholders to implement improvements, and (d) auditing sustainment of prior improvements.

    Supporting eleven (11) plants across the U.S. will require significant travel. The role requires a minimum of two (2) weeks per month of travel. There is no fixed schedule for the travel. This role will determine where and when they will be at the plant locations. When not in an HBD manufacturing location, the role can work remote.
    Experience and Education
    B.S. Degree in a technical field of study.
    Demonstrated skills in lean manufacturing, structured problem solving, and leading change.
    Minimum of 5-7 years'


    demonstrated experience in shop floor leadership, with the ability to engage and motivate teams to drive change and achieve results.

    Energized by and experienced in facilitating standard work kaizen events to deploy sustainable process improvements.
    Experience supporting multiple manufacturing sites.
    Career path potential for future plant manager roles.
