    We are a technology firm with approximately 1500 employees. The Scientific Division of our Company with a US headquarters in Newtown, PA, focuses on the innovative companies setting standards for laboratory and analysis instrumentation.

    We manufacture first class instrumentation for sample preparation with grinding and sieving ), particle characterization ), Heat Treatment (www.Carbolite-), Elemental Analysis ) and metallographic sample preparation & hardness testing ).

    For our Newtown, PA facility we are looking for a highly motivated new team member as: Carbolite Gero Service Engineer

    Responsibilities:


    • Supporting customers with troubleshooting by phone, email, and onsite for Carbolite Gero furnaces and ovens


    • Onsite commissioning of new equipment


    • In-house troubleshooting and repair of equipment


    • Maintenance of VSUS lab units


    • Use of CRM and ERP system to generate accurate quotations for service and components


    • Use strong communication skills, both written and verbal to support and maintain strong relationships with key account personnel and end users.


    • Maintain clean and organized workspace.

    Job Requirements:


    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or equivalent is required


    • Additionally, relevant experience with high voltage electrical systems, vacuum systems, and PLC systems is required


    • Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of vacuum systems to support and troubleshoot existing and new equipment

    o Familiarity with leak detection equipment is required

    o Familiarity with rotary pump maintenance is required


    • Candidate must have a working understanding of PLC systems and working through PLC HMI

    o Programing is not required but the candidate must have a working understanding of updating existing PLC systems and altering parameters


    • Must understand and have the ability to safely work on high voltage three phase systems, relevant safety certifications are desirable


    • Must be familiar with multi-meter, clamp meter, and use of basic hand tools


    • Must be able to read electrical, gas schematics, and technical drawings


    • Must have understanding of mechanical systems and be comfortable with mechanical assembly


    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


    • Candidate must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail


    • Candidate must have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal


    • Available to travel (up to 60%)
