Position Overview

As the Apprentice Technician at Wagner Equipment Co., you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and components for our customers. You will work closely with our team on delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.

This role involves preparing service reports, communicating effectively with team members and instructors, and ensuring machines are in optimal condition.

Essential Functions

Prepares service and inspection reports accurately and on time
Communicates effectively with team members and instructors
Cleans, repairs, and maintains equipment
Tests and troubleshoots engine malfunctions
Stays updated on industry developments and safety requirements
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Makes warranty and parts replacement decisions

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Interest in automotive or diesel work
Automotive or diesel course experience preferred
1-3 years of relevant work experience

Physical Demands & Competencies

Standing, walking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
Heavy lifting up to 96 pounds
Data Entry, communication, and organizational skills
Basic computer proficiency

Work Environment

Noise: Loud
Environment: Indoors/Outdoors
Specific Risks: Works with moving parts and equipment vibration
