    Description


    The Florida Panthers are a community focused organization led by an authentic management team that served our country and now serves the South Florida community.

    The organization is on the rise and is experiencing success both on and off the ice. Led by General Manager Bill Zito, the Panthers are coming off their best season in franchise history.

    Off the ice, the business is experiencing growth across all key metrics and our revenue is at an all-time high.

    The organization is expanding outside of Amerant Bank Arena via the renovation of the FTL War Memorial/Baptist Health IcePlex in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

    This state-of-the-art ice facility will feature two regulation-size rinks, including a team practice rink with stadium seating, the Panthers' new practice facilities spanning over 33,000 of offices and off-ice training facilities, and a 4,000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment.

    The future is bright, and we are very proud of what we are building in South Florida.

    The Retail Sales Associate has the opportunity to develop great relationships with our repeat customers in addition to informing the first-time customer of everything we have to offer

    Job Summary:


    The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for assisting our guests with finding what they need, whether that is officially licensed Panthers merchandise or hockey or figure skating equipment.

    The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for enhancing customer experience and sales generation in the following areas:

    Essential Dutiees & Reponsibilities:
    General Customer ServiceProcessing cash and credit card sales in point of sale & balancing at end of shiftAssisting Customers with Buying DecisionsSharpening hockey and figure skatesEquipment repairIncreasing Sales VolumeMonitoring Inventory / Theft PreventionMaintaining Store AppearanceMerchandising / Creating DisplaysQualifications:Sales Experience Preferred; Sports/Retail Sales Experience preferredPlaying Experience in Hockey or Figure Skating preferredKnowledge of Hockey and/or figure skating equipment preferredHigh School Diploma PreferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsProfessional appearance and presentationComfortable working in a fast-paced environment

    Work Environment:
    This position works at a professional ice rink, where the noise level can be generally high, crowd traffic can sometimes be heavy, and temperatures are often cold; lights are bright or dark with occasional exposure to flashing lights

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
    This is a non-exempt (hourly) position.
