    Our global Am Law ranked law firm client seeks an associate with 2-4 years of patent prosecution experience to join their Intellectual Property department.

    Applicants must have an advanced degree, preferably a Ph.
    D., in Chemistry.
    We seek applicants with strong academic credentials and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of medicinal chemistry, small molecules, pharmaceuticals, synthetic methods, polymer science and drug discovery would be useful, but is not necessary.

    A successful candidate who is not a registered patent attorney will be expected to take and to pass the USPTO registration exam within a year of being hired.

    Candidates are encouraged to review the USPTO eligibility criteria prior to applying. Compensation range is $220,000 to $300,000 commensurate with related experience and qualification.

    The salary of the candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, specialty, and training.

    The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the firm's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
