    Job Title:
    Wellness Representative - Hybrid in Jacksonville, FL

    Location:
    Hybrid in Jacksonville, FL - Local travel required

    Duration:

    6-month contract with the potential to convert to permanent by 2025

    Pay Rate:
    $36.23 per hour

    Hours/Shifts:
    School Year:

    7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

    Summer:
    Possible shift to a 4-day week with 10-hour days (Fridays off)

    Important Information

    This role is dedicated to the Duval County Public Schools Health Plan and will be based at the Duval County Public Schools' District Office Building, 1701 Prudential Drive, Jacksonville, FL.

    The position requires the use of a personal vehicle for travel to various locations to facilitate and participate in group events and healthcare fairs.

    Mileage will not be reimbursed.

    Key Responsibilities

    Coordinate and Facilitate Wellness Programs:
    Organize annual health screenings.
    Manage the Duval County Public Schools' Better You Strides program.
    Collaborate with teams to address and resolve issues and provide reporting.

    Program Development and Implementation:
    Develop health and wellness programs using data from Personal Health Assessments, claims, predictive modeling, and regional demographics.
    Administer health and wellness programs, including team and individual challenges, wellness presentations, coaching sessions, and email campaigns.
    Monitor and evaluate program success.

    Educational and Promotional Activities:
    Promote Duval County Public Schools' Workplace Wellness programs to maximize participation.
    Implement and manage the Diabetes Management Program.
    Provide member referrals to appropriate health management resources.

    Committee and Team Management:
    Participate in the Duval County Public Schools Wellness Committee.
    Manage the Wellness Ambassador Team and Intramural Programs.
    Assist in completing organizational assessments and implementing wellness plans.

    Partnerships and Confidentiality:
    Build strong partnerships with internal and external departments and organizations.
    Maintain confidentiality of employee health-related information per corporate policies and procedures.

    Qualifications

    Required:
    4+ years of related work experience in the health promotion industry.
    Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
    Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
    Basic knowledge of core wellness topics such as physical activity, nutrition, weight, and stress.
    Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    Ability to travel to local events and health fairs.

    Preferred:
    Experience working with educational organizations.
    Experience in employee benefits, healthcare, and/or risk management.
    Master's degree in health promotion or a related field.
    Active involvement in community and/or worksite health promotion.
    Strong facilitation, conflict management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to work effectively in both leadership and individual contributor roles.
    Self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
    Certification from a national health-related organization (e.g., WELCOA, WellCert, Wellcoaches, CHES, ACSM).

    General Physical Demands
    Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
    Primarily a sedentary role with occasional traversing activities.
