- Oversee the company's AP operations, correct errors, and ensure effective communication with general managers
- Ensure accurate invoice coding and monitor P&L statements to minimize month-end reclasses
- Manage monthly billing processes, track insurance, licenses, permits, and contracts, and maintain vendor relations.
- Review and verify property tax-exempt status and use-tax entries
- Assist with local occupancy tax filings
- Contribute to the creation of financial statements by reconciling accounts and verifying documentation
- Aid in the preparation of tracking and balancing worksheets
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Assist with the development of procedures for new and existing hotels
- Prepare data for audits and other third-party reviews
- Manage proprietary file-sharing systems and document retention
- MUST deliver hotel operational, accounting experience, or both.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Education, experience, or training in general accounting practices
- Ability to deliver and interpret instructions both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word & Excel
- Exceptional customer service approach when interacting with team members and stakeholders
- Self-motivation and capability to work independently or collaboratively
- Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
