    Job Duties:

    As a member of the Durst North America Accounting Team, the focus and priority of the Staff Accountant is sales tax, billing, general ledger and financial reporting for Durst Image Technology US. Specific responsibilities include:

    Sales Tax:

    • Prepare sales reports and file sales tax returns for each required state
    • Process general ledger entries related to sales tax filings
    • Reconcile sales tax accounts

    Billing:

    • Learn and understand company current billing policies and procedures
    • Process invoices for certain revenue segments
    • Back-up all billing processes

    Accounts Payable:

    • Learn and understand company current accounts payable policies and procedures.
    • Back-up Accounts payable

    Month End Close:

    • Reconcile general ledger accounts and post journal entries as directed
    • Assist with financial statement preparation
    • Assist with preparation of monthly reports

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Learn and be able to back-up key processes within department

    Required qualifications:

    • Degree in accounting/finance or similar
    • Motivated to learn and understand new processes
    • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
    • Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
    • Must be detail oriented with a strong work ethic
    • Microsoft365 products proficiency specifically Excel, Word

    Highly Valued/Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
    • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
    • Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
    • MAS or Sage Accounting System knowledge a plus but not required
