- Leads a group of skilled Machinists and Operators
- Coordinates the work-flow of the machine shop.
- Plans machine shop work by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, etc.
- Supports the machinists and operators with:
- Setting up CNC machines with all tooling required to complete parts based on drawings provided.
- Programing of CNC machines to produce parts in accordance with the drawings provided.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces.
- Meets production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality.
- Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Maintains safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; initiating repair work orders.
- Documents actions by completing required paper and/or electronic logs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Participates in required meetings and training.
- Vocational/Technical School certification/apprenticeship program; or five years' experience machining; or equivalent combination of education and experience

SUMMARY
Triton Manufacturing part of the GENERON Group of companies is looking for an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor. Triton Manufacturing produces machined parts for the other GENERON Group companies. The business unit has been expanding over the past 4 years and now has 2 vertical CNC milling machines, 6 CNC lathes, and one CNC horizontal boring mill, an assortment of mechanical equipment and a total of 10 machinists and operators working in the group.
The Machining Center works closely with engineering on new product development and have been instrumental in developing a number of new products for use in our manufacturing operations and sales groups.
The unit is located in a newly constructed building on the GENERON campus.
This position reports to the General Manager of Triton Manufacturing
