- 4-year degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or physical sciences.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards with strong ability to communicate requirements to upper management and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Experience in manufacturing operations, risk management, auditing, and quality management systems.
- Comfortable communicating and presenting to senior management and cross-functional teams in a way that enables non-technical team members to understand the quality requirements and metrics.
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing methods along with their process controls and opportunities for improvement.
- Experience creating, implementing and maintaining internal quality systems/document management systems, standards/SOPs for internal and external applications.

- Experience in dimensional metrology and measurement systems using open setup and coordinate measuring machines with a strong foundation in ASME Y14.5.

- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management, ability to re-prioritize quickly, and problem solving skills.

Summary
Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to in-process material and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved.
Key Performance Targets
· Drive product quality from a customer perspective from concept to launch.
· Investigate production and quality issues, determining root cause and developing corrective actions as appropriate.
· Support quality assurance, engineering, and operation departments with techniques and methodologies for first article, in-process, and final inspections.
· Oversee internal and external quality audits to the AS9100 standard.
· Manage continuous improvement projects to shorten production cycle times, improve process efficiencies, and deliver conforming product.
· Analyze customer feedback across many different categories and identify and prioritize areas to improve the customer experience.
· Establish, manage, and monitor key performance metrics for suppliers, Quality, Operations and customer feedback.
· Strategically, manage risks in the new product development cycle and address realized risks in production.
