THE POSITION:

As a Clerical Assistant 1, you will have a vital role in making sure that our guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience when they visit our pool facility in the summer. DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


At Codorus State Park, you will primarily be responsible for taking payments at the pool contact booth, using the cash register, and following established money handling guidelines in compliance with the cash management policy.


Your role will include politely communicating the park's rules and regulations to the public, providing them with the information they need or directing them to the appropriate person.

Additionally, you will respond to general inquiries by gathering and sending requested materials like maps and program guides.

You will also provide clerical support that would encompass handling outgoing mail using a postal scale and meter, and manage incoming phone calls by screening them, taking messages, and forwarding them to the relevant individual.

In addition, you will provide support to the park's clerical staff in performing various administrative duties required for the smooth operation of a large park complex and the computerized reservation and revenue system.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • This is a seasonal, fulltime position without benefits. The season runs from approximately March through September at which the employee is placed on leave without pay.
  • Work hours are 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Friday
  • Tuesday, with a 30minute lunch.
  • Weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed; 37.5 hours/week 7day operation.
    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:
