- Provide support and assistance to adults attending the day care center. This may include helping with mobility, personal care, and other daily activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants at all times. Be aware of their whereabouts and follow emergency procedures (e.g., fire drills, lockdown drills).
- Assist with organizing and participating in daily activities, such as arts and crafts, games, exercise, and social interactions.
- Work with participants who have special needs or unique skills. Tailor activities to their abilities and interests.
- Engage in conversations, listen to participants, and provide emotional support.
- Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, activities, and any incidents.
- Coordinate with other staff members, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure holistic care.
- Assist with toileting, feeding, and other personal care tasks as needed.
- Follow protocols for administering medications to participants.
- If required, accompany participants during transportation to and from the center.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with adults with special needs or disabilities.
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
