    Job SummaryJoin our fast-growing team to improve lives through real estate. As our Operations Specialist (OS), you will spearhead property onboarding, ensuring a seamless management transition. The OS is a mentor and ally to the onsite property management teams, providing support to drive their success. They dig into each property business plan, helping the onsite team understand their objectives. Proficient in our systems and processes, the OS understands the importance of adhering to standard operating procedures.

    Lastly, they are excited by the opportunity to travel to new property groups and markets, filling in when theres a capacity gap, and improving operations during their stay.

    Ensure onboarding standard operating procedure (SOP) is fully executedCollaborate with Regional Manager on any property-related or staffing issuesBe physically onsite routinely during the first 90 days, especially during the first 2 weeks (Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Cincinnati, and surrounding areas)Consult with Regional Manager and local Property Manager on how to get focus properties back on trackSpend time onsite at focus properties to get a deeper understanding of root issuesReview the business plan of 'focus properties' to identify disconnectsProvide coverage when existing staff are out-of-office for an extended period, or when there are capacity gapsAssist existing staff with emergency situation response and remediationOther duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estateKnowledge & ExperienceSuperior understanding of property management best practices7+ years of experience managing properties2+ years of experience in a regional position1+ years of significant project management and coordinationExperience operating multiple properties at the same timeSkillsStrong self-management skills, including ability to prioritize and organize effectively, executing on tight deadlinesStrong project management skills, including working with project management toolsStrong ability to coordinate the work of othersProficient in making decisions in a rapidly-changing environmentStrong attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skillsExceptional communication skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTechnology-savvyWork StyleDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to high-quality work productCapacity to work independently and collaboratively, depending on the needs of the situationKeeps the big picture strategy in mind while digging into the detailsTakes initiative to develop new ideas and systemsStrong commitment to timely and precise work and goal completionOther RequirementsAble to travel frequently (up to 50%)Reliable personal transportation for visiting and inspecting properties that are spread over a multiple statesAble to ascend/descend stairs and traverse an uneven terrain to access all areas of the propertiesAble to use a computer for a full workdayBenefits & PerksProfit-sharing programMedical, Vision, Dental, and Life insurance with company contribution401(k) retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off, paid holidays, and sick timeProfessional development reimbursement programEmployee Assistance ProgramMileage reimbursementDiscount at Birgo propertiesMore about BirgoWe take care of our hardworking, competent team by providing opportunities for professional growth, paying attention to holistic staff needs, and celebrating life together.
