- Prepare journal entries in support of month-end closing activities, ensuring proper documentation is obtained.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying reconciling items and communicating corrections and process improvements to management
- Lead Blackline reconciliation tool standardization and training across the company's accounting divisions
- Assist with analysis of month-end results, including comparisons to forecasts and budgets as well as researching and documenting variances
- Respond to inquiries from various departments regarding financial statements and general ledgers.
- Manage the intercompany process across the organization, working to identify issues and helping drive and adhere to monthly close calendar
- Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses as requested.
- Ability to effectively partner with teams throughout the organization, both in and outside of the accounting and finance group
- Assist with interim and annual audits
- 4+ years experience in general accounting
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to understand the "root cause" of issues
- Competency with Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel functions
- Experience with ERP accounting systems, Microsoft Dynamics (D365) a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Prior experience with consolidations and intercompany a plus
