**Computer skills**:
Word, Excel, E-Mail, SAP or other MRP system experience is a plus.
**Job Description**:
Process requisitions in SAP incorporating multiple ship to locations.
Work with multiple internal customers responding to their needs as they become required.
Assist Buyers with analysis and/or transactional activities.
Cross functionally train in other areas of procurement department to insure you have balanced view of the day to day activities.
New item creation and set up in SAP
PO and release maintenance including PO changes
Delivery, lead time confirmations with suppliers
Price break set up in SAP
Work with Accounts Payable to reconcile invoice discrepancies
Monitor the suppliers for quality, performance, and price.
As time permits research new suppliers.
Negotiate cost savings whenever possible.
Manage assigned suppliers, categories, and inventory management
Maintain a positive image as a representative of Sunsweet.
**Educational Background:**
Associates degree preferred.
**Work Experience:**
5 years of office work experience (manufacturing a plus)
buyer experience, accounts payable, receiving environments a plus.
