    **POSITION SUMMARY**

    The Guest Services Representative is a key position within the Shore Excursions team of American Queen Steamboat Company and Victory Cruise Lines. This position assists the On-Site Guest Services Coordinator on the front line providing an exceptional first impression to guests boarding American Queen Steamboat Company and Victory Cruise Line vessels. This position requires an adept ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. This is a flexible-hour position, with regular hours scheduled various days of the week depending on port turnover days. This position will primarily handle the check-in & hospitality services for our Victory Cruise Lines and American Queen Steamboat Company turnover ports. Schedule of service will include approximately forty (40) two-day shifts per year, with annual schedule provided appx. 6 months in advance.

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

    Efficiently assist guests with vessel check-in, following procedures outlined by management team.

    Provide high-quality customer service and guest interaction.

    Expertly assist guests with questions and needs related to their upcoming voyage.

    Work with check-in team and hotel staff to ensure all procedures are followed according to management direction.

    Provide a welcoming smile as a helpful resource for all guests.

    The Guest Services Representative will work under the guidance of the Guest Services Coordinator as well as the Director of Destinations to uphold AQSC and VCL standards.

    Regular training and coaching will be received; however, this position will be expected to execute duties independently and with a high degree of professionalism.

    Ensure behavior and performance support the companys mission, vision, values, and operating principles.

    Solicits feedback and takes action to continuously improve success of team.

    Conduct oneself as a RESPECT service system example for others.

    Perform other duties as assigned

    **REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS**

    **Education:**

    High School Diploma or Equivalent

    **Skills & Abilities:**

    Can do attitude with willingness to learn and assist others

    Willingness to work multiple-day shifts (generally Sunday Monday) for appx. 40 shifts per year

    Must have experienced knowledge of navigating computer programs and be able to learn industry software

    Ideal candidate will be an efficient team player with great attention to detail

    Must have stellar customer service skills previous customer service experience a plus

    Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends

    Must be able to work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day

    Previous experience in Hotel/Hospitality/Tourism industry a plus

    Willingness to travel to occasionally 25% of the time

    Ability to lift at least 35 pounds

    **Experience:**

    At least 1-2 years in a relevant/related Customer Service role

    Travel/tourism or hotel/hospitality experience strongly preferred

    **Other:**

    Must be at least 21 years of age

    Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident/incident testing
