    We are seeking a product engineering leader to drive the Access Management Foundations team in the Product Security organization against a large and ambitious roadmap.

    As Confluent grows and introduces new and exciting features, the Product Security organization is involved from the ground up to see to it that there is a tight security integration and ensure the best customer experience on our streaming data platform.

    You will be responsible for further defining the vision, growing and coaching the team, and planning and driving cross-team efforts to solve complex distributed system challenges at scale.

    Own the overall vision and execution for the Access Management Foundations team in the Product Security Engineering organization
    Work closely with product management, engineering leadership, and other key stakeholders across various teams in Confluent and Confluent Cloud to build and drive the overall roadmap
    Work with engineering teams and product on critical aspects of product definition, architectural design, and delivery
    Influence the overall domain health and operational hygiene for the Cloud Platform
    10+ years of experience in software development and 4+ years in management
    ~ Experience designing resilient systems at scale, in the three major CSPs (AWS, Azure, GCP), with a proven track record of "seeing around corners" to reduce complexity and create critical enduring technical foundations
    ~ Ability to hire while ensuring a high hiring bar, keep engineers motivated, coach/mentor, and handle performance management
    ~ A great track record of timely shipping features and have a sense of urgency, an aggressive mindset towards achieving results, and excellent prioritization skills
    ~ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
