    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Registered Nurse is responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice.

    Important aspects of this responsibility are the promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment for both the recipients and providers of nursing care; acquisition of specialized knowledge skills and additional formal education to provide specialized care; demonstration and validation of competence in nursing practice; clinical practice consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of this facility; and supervision of other staff as designated within the department.


    What qualifications you will need:

    • Associate's degree required; BSN preferred
    • BSN required within 3 years of employment
    • Professional Nursing Organization Membership encouraged
    • Minimum of one year level III NICU experience is preferred
    • Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in the State of Texas required
    • Current BLS issued from HCA approved vendor required
    • NRP required from an HCA approved vendor
    • S.T.A.B.L.E. course must be taken within 6 months of hire, if no evidence of previous attendance
    • Cardiac S.T.A.B.L.E. course must be taken within 6 months of hire, if no evidence of previous attendance
    • Specialty certification encouraged
