The RoleWe're looking for a
Director of Product Management
to lead our payments team, focusing on rent payment solutions and growth.
This pivotal role involves close collaboration with US business teams and cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data engineers in Thailand.
We're seeking a product leader with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to driving product initiatives across the company.
In this role you will spearhead product strategy and execution, leveraging your proven expertise in driving growth within the payments industry.
As a hands-on "player-coach," you thrive in ambiguity, adapt to fast-paced environments, and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.You align with our commitment to a high-performance culture and have a track record of delivering impactful results, both leading and executing as a product manager.
You seamlessly bridge business acumen with innovative product development.This is a remote, US-based role that will manage three direct reports.
This position requires regular collaboration with our Thailand-based team members and will accommodate the hours listed (see Skills & Requirements) per RentSpree policy.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Product Research, Designers and Engineers to identify key opportunities in the Rent Payment, Landlord Tools, and growth domain.
Serve as the primary driver for prioritizing new opportunities within the domain. Develop and articulate clear product vision and strategies, ensuring they align with broader organizational objectives and key results.
Make decisions that significantly influence high-level business metrics and outcomes. Possess expertise in measuring impact, determining key learnings, and effectively communicating these across the organization.
Exhibit strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills. Capable of collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams across different time zones, fostering a cooperative work environment.
Ensure that the developed products align with RentSpree's mission and maintain a competitive edge in the market, setting industry standards for excellence.
Proactively identify significant product and organizational opportunities, driving them to fruition autonomously, often without explicit instructions or predefined resources.Thrive in a dynamic environment where processes are fluid, changes are constant, and adaptability is key. Employ creative problem-solving to maximize efficiency.
Utilize data, market research, and analysis to inform product strategies and roadmaps. Work closely with cross-functional teams (XFN) to ensure alignment and informed decision-making.
Work in tandem with Engineering, Support, and Payment Processing vendors to oversee and manage the success of the payment capabilities, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
Execute and author product briefs and product requirements, with individual oversight of a working squad and team. Contribute to the product backlog and lead by example.Manage projects you are responsible for including scope, cross domain dependencies, cross department communication, and overall stakeholder alignment including status reporting.
Qualifications:8+ years of experience in engineering or product management, particularly with highly technical products, along with a BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem and best practices, including chargeback management, reversals, and non-sufficient funds requirements
Experience in customer acquisition and conversion, particularly in a product-led environment, is vital for driving growth in this domain
Data and metric-driven with an ability to focus on the right set of OKRs that tie back to business outcomes and the product roadmap
Proven ability to lead through influence, hold product managers accountable, and manage, coach, and develop people
Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary for implementing ideas and driving strategies in a rapidly changing environment
Passion for ensuring new experiences meet customer needs and align with business strategy and overall goals for rent payment
Ability to support evening hours (~4-8 pm PT) to coordinate effectively with teams in Thailand; Our ideal candidate is located on the US West Coast (PST)
Compensation:
$220,000 - $240,000 + Equity
90% paid Dental and Vision option
100% paid 1X base salary for Life & AD&D
