Project Management Water Engineering (m/f/d) for the City Drainage Department

With over 500 employees, the City Drainage Department of Düsseldorf ensures the comprehensive management of wastewater disposal and treatment, as well as flood protection and waterway maintenance. The Special Structures and Water Engineering department is responsible for the planning and construction of flood protection facilities along the Rhine and inner-city waterways, as well as waterway development.

As Project Management Water Engineering, you will oversee challenging planning and construction projects along the Rhine and inner-city waterways.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Project management for the planning and construction of water engineering facilities, with a focus on flood protection and port construction
  • National and EU-wide procurement of engineering and construction services
  • Financial planning, schedule and cost control
  • Negotiations with authorities, engineering firms, construction companies, and other project stakeholders
  • Public relations, organizing public information events, and presenting projects to political bodies
  • Assuming the role of client in accordance with construction site regulations for each project.
Your profile:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
