- Based on the knowledge of the Transportation markets business needs across GBUs/platforms, he/she is directly responsible for designing and executing strategic communication plans and initiatives in full control of the assigned budget.
- Brand and contents. To ensure consistency with the Solvay Group tone of voice, across on-line and off-line touch points; in full alignment with the value propositions of Solvay products.
- Digital multi-channel strategies: budget and resource allocation based on growth opportunities, timeline/project management, Implementation of multi-channel approach, including the selection of new suppliers and management of current suppliers plus KPI set up for tracking marcom performances & business results (ROI).
- Events management as a part of the Omni-channel approach (including: strategy and execution and the collaboration with the Corp. Event Team for Group initiatives).
- Team management. Keep in very regular contact with all the Transportation team members (direct or dotted reporting lines) to define roles and activities; setting clear objectives and coaching junior team members for their career evolution.
- Demonstrable experience in Communications Management within a global, fast paced and corporate environment. Experience gained within the communications field within the transportation sector either Aerospace, Automotive or Rail would be an advantage. A Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations or another relevant field.

Reporting into the Head of B2B Marketing Communications, the Global Transportation Communications Manager will be required to develop B2B/customer facing communication strategies and activities relating to this sector.
You will enhance awareness of Solvay in this sector internationally through the delivery of key messages and compelling customer journeys.
Excellent copywriting & editing skills are essential for this role as are exceptional people skills as you will be leading a team directly and indirectly across multiple countries.
You will be an experienced communications professional with a commitment and ability to work cross functionally and successfully in a matrix organisation.
This role covers the Transportation Market across numerous Global Business Units with sites in France, Italy, England, the US and APAC.
In this role you will be responsible for the strategy, planning, delivery and assessment of a range of omni channel communication campaigns aimed at generating awareness and new business leads for the commercial teams in the transportation market (this includes the segments of Aerospace and Automotive as well as space, defense and urban air mobility).
You will guide the team in preparing campaigns including activities such as website, social media (paid and organic), press releases and media relations, events management while ensuring that all marketing materials are on brand and carry consistent messaging.
Digital activities will be core to the implementation and you will work closely with our digital team and external partners to that end.
Due to the outward-facing nature of the role, as Global Transportation Communications Manager you will have strong communications and people skills, be highly organised in your approach and be able to adapt quickly to a variety of high-pressure situations.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will need to come up with creative, fresh ways to communicate ideas and promote our Company.
