Position Overview

The senior manager, Corporate Communications, will develop and manage internal and external communications for Ascent and its brands.

This position will build and implement a communication and content strategy for Ascent Hospitality Management across its key constituents:
internal associates, existing franchisees, potential franchise and institutional investors, and national, local, and trade media outlets.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead and support PR efforts for Huddle House and Perkins Bakery & Restaurant campaigns, product launches, and operational initiatives, collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver programs against marketing & operational priorities for both internal and external audiences.

Work with the Ascent and Brand leadership to develop content and generate awareness of the company's business progress/achievements among its core target audiences.

Develop and implement an investor relations calendar of content, interviews, press, and tradeshow appearances for key senior executives to assist in creating corporate value.

Act as the company's primary spokesperson when appropriate for trade/national/local media inquiries, and Atlanta area community relations.

Proactively identify compelling consumer trends to seize opportunities for culturally relevant, reactive campaigns.

Propose innovations to PR strategy continuously to improve performance against target audiences.

Develop and maintain relationships with key media members across the restaurant industry and business landscape, ensuring an earned media mindset is maintained.

Oversee all news engine efforts and events, ensuring media impression goals are developed and met.

Serve as the day-to-day team lead to the external PR agency.

Serve as the day-to-day liaison to cross-functional team members for external communications needs, communicating priorities, needs, and direction.

JOB KNOWLEDGE,

SKILL AND ABILITY:
The successful candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities:

A bachelor's degree in a communication-related field is preferable.

Six to eight years of experience in PR/communications.

Direct PR/Communications agency experience and/or experience managing PR agencies, within the restaurant/hospitality industry.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong management skills and attention to detail.

Thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multi-brand environment.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

Team player, professional, positive attitude, pride in work product.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working independently and with a team.

A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is critical, and professionalism in dealing with others inside and outside the confederation is necessary.
