    Job Summary:

    Supervises the daily operational activities within the commercial loan processing staff in managing member business relationships involving loans, deposits, and other related services.

    Essential Job Duties:

    Leadership:

    • Liaise with HR and OD to recruit, onboard, develop, and retain high-quality staff.
    • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
    • Provides constructive and timely one-on-ones and performance evaluations.
    • Effectively coaches, mentors, motivates, and manages the staff to ensure delivery of communications to employees in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining the Credit Union's high standard of quality.
    • Ensures that the department fosters a productive, rewarding work environment that provides for the development of employees; meets all established goals and metrics; and operates within the Credit Union's core values.
    Main responsibilities:
    • Oversees the generation of documentation for business loans by the processing staff and ensures that such loans comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
    • Makes recommendations and seeks out areas for improvement in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, department goals and objectives.
    • Strengthens existing business member relationships through product/service referrals and problem identification and resolution.
    • Responsible for ensuring constant communication and efficient workflow within the Commercial Loan Processing area.
    • Ensures that member and Credit Union information is treated with the utmost confidentiality and security.
    • Works with business loan support specialists and members to resolve complex business member issues and disputes.
    • Reviews loan files and closing documents for new loan originations, extensions, renewals, and Change in Terms to ensure that the loan is properly documented and complies with Credit Union guidelines, policy, and federal regulations.
    • Completes reviews in a timely manner to ensure scheduled closings are met.
    • Responsible for generating month-end reports which include interaction with the IT department in creating specific reports. Scheduling, running and disbursing to Business Services and senior management.
    • Actively supports management in achieving established department goals.
    • Participate in department and organizational projects, representing the best interests of the Business Services Department as needed.
    • Creates, maintains, implements checklists & tools for creating greater efficiency with respect to the commercial processing specialist positions.
    • Acts as a back-up to perform team functions as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Requirements

    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Familiar and comfortable with information technology, particularly digital means of communication.
    • Superior member experience by actively listening to and assessing the needs of the member, identifying, and recommending solutions, and referring members to the appropriate person or department.
    Knowledge:
    • Strong knowledge in state and federal banking compliance regulations and other lending practices.
    • Solid understanding and knowledge of business lending practices, loan documentation and loan servicing requirements.
    • Extensive knowledge of business process analysis, development methods and documenting business requirements.
    Education and Experience:
    • Minimum four years' experience in working specifically with business deposits and lending, including servicing and processing of comprehensive business loan products or related experience
    • Minimum associate degree or certification in business or related field, or more than four years of related experience.
    Physical Requirements:

    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    Must be able to lift 5 pounds at times.

    Salary Description

    $77,744 - $97,181 annually (Depends on Experience)
