Job Summary and Qualifications:


As the Revenue Compliance Auditor, you will educate and provide support to departments for process development regarding charging or coding discrepancies.

You will also be responsible for trending revenue and/or coding compliance to identify education opportunities.

You will research billing and coding regulations to develop Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, as well as other focus areas, to ensure charging and documentation practices comply with regulations.


  • You will perform audits on Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology and other high risk areas for coding and charging compliance
  • You will provide clear and concise reporting to leadership
  • You will consult with departments on charge practices
  • You will consult with appropriate departments on the integrity of the CDM and ties to the clinical modules
  • You will provide general and focused education to appropriate departments as needed
  • You will consult on LCD/NCD research and root cause analysis, as well as on processes to support those policies

What qualifications you will need:

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in CPT and HCPS coding, hospital coding with Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology accounts, government/nongovernment billing practices, Medicare and CCI edits
  • 3+ years of experience in Medicare chart auditing, billing, and charge master review
  • 5+ years of experience in outpatient hospital coding with focus in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology coding
Education

  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), and/or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
  • High school graduate or equivalent
