    Description

    We are partnered with a well-established construction company seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client's team.

    This is an amazing opportunity for candidates who are looking to take the next step in their career. Our client, with over 20 years in the business, is a medium-sized commercial construction company with room for growth and advancement. If you're passionate about construction estimating and want to be a part of a dynamic team, this position is perfect for you.

    Responsibilities:

    Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects

    Review project plans and specifications to determine materials, labor, and equipment requirements

    Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain necessary information for the estimates

    Conduct site visits and inspections to gather relevant data and identify potential risks or issues

    Analyze and evaluate bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers

    Job Functions:

    Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to develop cost estimates

    Create and maintain a database of cost information for future reference

    Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process

    Provide accurate and timely cost estimates for change orders and value engineering proposals

    Assist in negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing

    Skills:

    5 years of experience in construction estimating

    Proficient in using construction estimating software and tools

    Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes

    Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

    Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications accurately
