- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and design documents.
- Evaluate subcontractor input for scope inclusion. Identify scope gaps and overlaps.
- Must be able to create a project schedule.
- Review plans with assistant project managers to allow them to procure subcontractors.
- Perform take offs, compile bids, qualify subcontractors, and submit final bids to clients.
- Honest, organized, passion for construction and experience on how to get it done.
- Manage distribution of blueprints to subcontractors to ensure sufficient subcontractor input is received.
- Review estimate and incorporate comments, feedback, and input into revised estimates.
- Review accepted bids with project manager for project hand off.
- Reliably commute to work

ABOUT JACKOVIC CONSTRUCTION:
Jackovic Construction Company is a Pittsburgh, PA based retail commercial construction general contractor completing buildouts for national organizations.
Jackovic Construction Company has succeeded by building strong client relationships and a commitment to exceed our clients' expectations.
Position Summary:
We are a mid-sized organization looking for an individual who enjoys working with a small group of assistants to produce high level estimates. Our ideal estimator will be one who understands the challenges of retail construction, plus the rewards of completing these fast-paced projects.
The ideal candidate must be able to work full-time in office Monday- Friday 8am to 5pm.
REQUIREMENTS:
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
SPECIAL NOTE: MUST pass a drug test, including marijuana screening, and have a clean criminal background history for consideration. Both will be run before the official job offer is made.
Work Location:
Must be willing to work in our corporate office located in Pittsburgh, PA ~ Mt. Lebanon / Castle Shannon vicinity.
