- The chief resident position is 50% administrative/teaching and 50% clinical.
- Administrative and teaching activities include working with the program director and associate program directors in program management and leadership.
- Work closely with the Internal Medicine Residents in the clinical setting to optimize medical care and their training.
- Serve as the resident liaison between Program, Faculty and Residents. Perform other duties related to effective communication and educational program for the Residency Program as requested by Program Directors.
- Medical degree or foreign equivalent
- Graduate from an accredited residency program
- BC/BE in General Internal Medicine is required
- Eligible for Louisiana license
- Graduating Medicine residents are welcome to apply
