Research Assistant II, Pediatrics***
Location:Boston, MA
Schedule:40 hours per week, Hybrid

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts Children's HealthWatch interviews with caregivers in the Pediatric Emergency Department, and provides outreach information to those who request resources
- Maintains the Children's HealthWatch Outreach Library for staff and resource materials for Children's HealthWatch families.
- Informs Children's HealthWatch site coordinator of specific trends of outreach requests among Children's HealthWatch families.
- Assists with training/orientation of interns and research assistants.
- Adheres to IRB Protocols and maintains patient confidentiality.
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Supports administrative needs of Children's HealthWatch and the Grow Clinic, as needed.
- Updates the six month log, as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree required by time of hire. Master's Degree Preferred.
- With Master's degree, no experience required
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 1 year in clinical research experience required. Experience in a hospital setting highly preferred.
- Experience in public health research and community outreach, family advocacy, case management, or community organizing preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent English communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (beyond that of English) appropriate to the patient population served is a plus.
- Cultural sensitivity and comfort with a wide range of social, racial and ethnic populations.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and quantitative data analysis software (e.g. SPSS, SAS, Minitab.) helpful.
- Ability to perform basic data management (coding, data entry, data cleaning, retrieval) tasks.
This position is grant funded through 2029. There may be opportunity beyond this grant funding for position integration into ongoing operations.
