    Description


    To support, improve, develop, research and test electrical components, equipment, and systems on the plant floor in order to meet production needs.

    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    Provide daily support to plant operations supporting Corporate and plant specification goals.
    Plan and implement all controls related activities.
    Supports implementation and installation of new and rebuilt equipment.
    Continuous improvement of equipment and processes towards improving reliability and technology.
    Maintains communication with work groups to assure proper implementation of projects.
    Responsible for IATF16949 documentation requirements.
    Perform other duties as assigned.
    QualificationsRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent training required.

    Technical certification with PLC or CNC Controls preferredExperience with LabView is a plus3 plus years of work experience in Controls Engineering with plant floor experience.

    Experience in automotive seating.

    CompetenciesTechnical CapacityThoroughnessCollaborationComputer ProficiencyAdvanced knowledge of safety requirements involving electrical engineeringAllen Bradley PLC, Controls Logix, Servo Controllers, HMI products and softwareWorking knowledge of NEC and ANSI codesFamiliarity with automotive specificationsCAD softwareKnowledge of traceability & data trackingAbility to make changes to electrical prints as neededWorking knowledge of Basic, C and Visual Basic programmingAbility to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliersConfidentialitySupervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting and on the plant floor.

    The hours for this position are 7PM to 4AM.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

    The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
