    **Peters and Yaffee, Inc.** is currently seeking a **Senior Transportation Engineer/Roadway Department Manager** to join our Roadway Group in our Jacksonville, Florida office. This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals. The individual will be responsible for leading the roadway design group including managing weekly production requirements with input from other staff members, mentoring staff, quality control reviews of design plans and other documents and providing bi-yearly employee reviews. The individual will work as part of a team and be familiar with all facets of transportation engineering including design of roadway elements, development of maintenance and protection of traffic plans, and preparation of contract plans for a variety of project types and clients.

    Professional Engineer is required (with 10+ years of post-registration experience)

    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation preferred)

    Experience designing and developing plans for roadway type projects

    Experience with FDOT Design Standards, Plans Preparation Manuals and Specifications

    Experience with drainage design a plus

    FDOT Advanced MOT Certified a plus

    Strong verbal and written communication skills a plus

    Microstation Experience including Geopak applications and an understanding of how to produce contract drawings

    Proficiency in MS Office software

    Desire to work in a team environment
