    Description

    **Peters and Yaffee, Inc.** is currently seeking an **Transportation Engineer** to join our Roadway Group in our Jacksonville, Florida office. This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals. The individual will work as part of a team in all facets of transportation engineering including design of roadway elements, development of maintenance and protection of traffic plans, and preparation of contract plans for a variety of project types and clients.

    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation preferred)

    4+ years' experience designing and developing plans for roadway type projects

    Experience with FDOT Design Standards, Plans Preparation Manuals and Specifications

    Strong verbal and written communication skills a plus

    Microstation Experience including Geopak applications and an understanding of how to produce contract drawings

    Proficiency in MS Office software

    Desire to work in a team environment

    Professional Engineer is desired but must have a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) minimum
