    Assistant Operations Coordinator (Onsite, Tallahassee, FL)

    This position will require onsite work on a weekly basis.

    Job Purpose:

    The Assistant Operations Coordinator will work with the Director of Operations to assist in the oversight of all internal operations.


    Included by not limited to:

    Compliance, Licensing and Appointments, Information Technology, Information Security, Investment Processing, Advisor Assistance, Group Benefits, Life Benefits, Accounting and Premium Accounting.

    The position is responsible for assisting in the developing and maintaining operational efficiency through procedural development, training, staff development, technology, and other applicable areas.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the develop operational and compliance policies and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the support functions.
    • Assist in the oversight and management the life, group, retirement, accounting, premium accounting, reception and sales support functions and staff.
    • Assist with the oversight, development and compliance of the Company's information technology and information security needs.
    • Assist with new advisor compliance, life paperwork, group paperwork and retirement paperwork training.
    • Assist with all audit requirements for the agency. Work directly with vendors on audit violations and processing errors.
    • Manage the LTD Residency and LTD annuity programs.
    • Assist with preparing and delivering performance reviews and resolving disciplinary issues for direct reports.
    • Create and review department audit reports such as stale contributions, transfers, death claims, term policies, etc.
    • Assist with processing and training on complex transactions as needed
    • Participate in the vetting/addition of new vendors/products, etc.
    • Assist with implementing new systems and processes as needed
    • Assist with the hiring, development, and training of operational staff as needed
    • Prepare management reports as needed
    • Assist regional sales directors with development and marketing needs.
    • Comply with all federal, state and insurance regulations as it relates to the position.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.


    • 3-5 years of operations experience
    • 3-5 years management experience
    • BA or BS required
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
