Director/Sr Director, Clinic Operations

An Early Phase CRO that specializes in Gastro, Dermatology, Allergy, Orthopedics and Women's Health.

What You Can Expect To Be Doing...

Responsible for the overall management of Phase I Clinical Trials facility in Las Vegas.
Provides direction and leadership to the Clinic Operations Management team.
Serves as a mentor to each of the managers. Encourages managers to train and develop their staff.

This will be accomplished through adequate and documented training, proper follow-through on performance issues and providing additional support as required.

Works with managers to ensure adequate staff levels are maintained to meet company goals.
Reviews operational costs with each department manager and holds them accountable for budgetary requirements (e.g., overtime, supply costs).

Works with QA to conduct regular audits of each department to ensure SOP's, protocols and other regulatory requirements are being met.

Determine training needs of each area and ensure that proper training is done to develop staff.
Review Recruiting Plan with Manager, Call Center Operations. Provide feedback in order to ensure that goals of plan are met. Must be able to provide creative solutions when problems are identified.
Review protocols to ensure that screening department is prepared to obtain all items required by study protocol.

Review numbers with relevant staff daily to ensure that study enrollment goals are being met and Recruiting Plan is adjusted as necessary.

Review study plan for each study to ensure that teams are prepared to follow protocols and SOPs.
Attend protocol initiation meetings to ensure that any potential problem areas are identified and worked through before study progresses.
Works closely with Finance/Accounting to ensure that budgetary goals are on target.

Work with clinic managerial staff and Human Resources to ensure that staffing needs are met for each site and that appropriate coaching and counseling is before performed by all managers.

What you will bring to the table:

At least 10 years management experience. Experience must be supported by formal management training either through a recognized qualification, e.g. MBA with a focus on operations management, or through a formal in-house or externally driven training program.
Minimum of 5 years Clinical Research experience

Proven track record of providing leadership to a management team including at least 10 years of overseeing managerial level employees.

At least 3 years' experience managing multiple site operations.
