    Description


    Bio-Rad is looking for a Field Service Engineer II to perform client-site servicing, repair and/or installation, operational qualification, and calibration/adjustment of company product(s).

    Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Serve as customer contact on technical and service-related problems. Diagnose mechanical, optical, electronic/electrical, software and system failures using established procedures.
    Responsibilities

    Perform Preventive Maintenance, Repairs, and Installations at end user customer sites using approved Bio-Rad documentation.
    Understand and adhere to environmental and safety guidelines while performing service activities.
    Perform all service work within regulatory guidelines.
    Travel within and outside of your assigned territory to customer sites.
    Document service work in CRM in accordance with approved procedures, and submit reports within 24 hours of call completion.
    Provide exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers.
    Maintain spare parts inventory and tools, as specified.
    Lift up to 50 lbs.
    Complete general administrative work, as assigned.
    Properly maintain Company property (vehicle, laptop, phone, MiFi).
    Complete assigned training courses by due dates.
    Monitor individual metrics to ensure successful attainment of goals.
    Work independently to manage time, customers, and inventory.
    Prioritize dispatches using knowledge of customer base and CRM.
    Communicate with technical support /product support as needed to address customer complaints.
    Provides weekend and holiday on-call service.
    Demonstrates effective decision making and judgment when handling tasks.
    Understands and leverages service costs in daily activities (parts and travel).
    Qualifications

    Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical or related Engineering field, or equivalent combination of education/ experience.
    Experience servicing electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment in a biomedical environment is desired and not required. Military backgrounds welcome.
    Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
    Good customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
