- Aid in all fund-level operating activities including investment funding, cash transactions, fund-level cash needs, and line of credit administration/debt compliance.
- Liaison with third-party fund administrators on the preparation of capital calls, distributions, quarterly financial statements, line of credit activity, fund waterfalls, management fee calculations, and ad hoc investor requests.
- Coordinate with outside CPA firm on annual audit and tax return preparation.
- Aid in preparing fund-level performance metrics.
- Find and recommend enhancements to processes and controls.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Managing Director and head of accounting.
- Undergraduate degree in accounting; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
- Highly organized and meticulous with the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and balance competing priorities.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and finance with advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. CPA or CPA candidate is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience with a mix of public accounting (with investment management or fund-related clients) and/or fund administration experience, commercial real estate or another investment/finance-related area; exposure to private equity, partnership accounting, and real estate a plus
- Familiar with K-1's, Texas Franchise Tax, and various other State/Federal Fillings.
- Confident under pressure and comfortable meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and diligence
- Collaborator who is comfortable being in a support role and comfortable accepting and supplying constructive feedback
