- Lead and manage the activities of the company procurement team.
- Oversee the review, negotiation, and approval of material pricing.
- Establish and approve sources of raw material and suppliers.
- Determine and review current MOQs and Safety Stocks.
- Evaluate and approve requisitions to be converted to purchase orders.
- Monitor and coordinate material scheduling and delivery to support production while considering minimal on-hand inventory.
- Review and coordinate engineering change controls with suppliers.
- Monitor and report cost down plans by fiscal periods to support both internal and global reporting requirements.
- Create fiscal period cost down plans for budgeting purposes based on company targets.
- Support manufacturing, engineering, and quality to ensure quality parts.
- Conduct and lead supplier audits as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree, and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
- SAP knowledge is preferred.

SMCA is the U.S. manufacturing facility for SHCA, the U.S. Consumer Products Group of Sharp Electronics Corporation, the U.S. sales subsidiary of Sharp Corporation, a worldwide developer and manufacturer of one-of-a-kind premium technology products, who was recently honored as one of Fortunes Most Admired Companies for 2023. SHCA includes the manufacturing of premium home appliances in Memphis, TN, together with the sales & marketing, and servicing of home electronics based in Montvale, NJ. Leading products include Sharp Carousel, Microwave Drawer Ovens, SuperSteam+ ovens, and Plasmacluster Ion air purifiers.
Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is $57,252- $107,349. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
