    As the study abroad coordinator, you will assist recruitment efforts at all SCAD locations to ensure that students have full opportunity to participate in SCAD study abroad experiences, serving as a liaison to SCAD Atlanta, SCAD Lacoste, and SCADnow administrative offices to assist with all elements of student preparation for travel and study. In this position your responsibilities will include coordinating student application and travel arrangements, responding to student inquiries and facilitating student application to all travel programs, monitoring students during travel experiences, and assisting in resolving any issues that arise for students or participating faculty.

    It is the duty of the coordinator to keep all executive offices abreast of student enrollment numbers for study abroad programs and to assume responsibility for web and social media content related to the programs. In this position you will generate marketing strategies and coordinate publications and publicity for upcoming programs, identify the most cost-effective travel opportunities and arrangements, assist with student interest meetings to promote the importance of studying abroad in the context of a global education, and coordinate logistical arrangements. Additionally, you will seek funding sources to strengthen and increase travel scholarships and assist with student and faculty orientation programs prior to travel as well as facilitating assessment of study abroad programming and service after student completion of the program.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required with experience in higher education
    • Prior work in travel and/or event planning
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Student advisement experience
    • Experience with study abroad or international travel logistics
    Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
    • Valid driver's license
    Travel required:
    • 20% to 40%
    Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
