    What You'll Do in This Position

    Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC is the management and operations contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site (SRS).

    Established in 1950, SRS is a core contributor to the nation's strategic nuclear deterrent, nuclear materials management, and remediation programs.

    Established by Congress in 2000, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is a semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy responsible for enhancing national security through the military application of nuclear science. NNSA maintains and enhances the safety, security, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile; works to reduce the global danger from weapons of mass destruction; provides the U.S.

    Navy with safe and militarily effective nuclear propulsion; and responds to nuclear and radiological emergencies in the United States and abroad.

    NNSA has established the Nuclear Enterprise Assurance (NEA) program to manage and mitigate adversarial subversion risks in accordance with SD to the integrity and resilience of nuclear weapons, components, enabling capabilities, and supply chains.

    This is a senior level position supporting the Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) missions.


    • Investigating emerging issues, anomalies, and alerts from threat detection, supply chain, and production operations
    • Coordinating initiatives with NNSA Counterintelligence office, cyber security, vulnerability assessment, production engineers and operations
    • Participating with a risk mitigation team to reduce exposure to subversion risks by developing design changes, controls, or procedures.
    • Providing threat, vulnerability, and consequence analysis for informed decision-making
    • Investigating emerging issues, anomalies, and alerts from counterintelligence, threat detection, supply chain and production operations
    • Collaborate across Nuclear Security Enterprise with other intelligence and assurance professionals.
    • Participate or coordinate initiatives with SRFO- Counterintelligence office, cyber security, vulnerability assessments, productions engineers, and operations.
    • Provide countersubversion support to SRNS and associated programs and projects to identify potential threats, risks, and vulnerabilities to ensure the safety of SRNS, personnel, and equities.
    • Prepared and publish sole and joint investigative reports, countersubversion risk assessments, and countersubversion action plans to assess and protect SRNS

    Provide senior level analysis, expertise, and support to SRNS operations to resolve broad technical issues having division and/or site wide implications.

    Specific support provided will differ according to assignment, but will generally include directing, planning, developing, implementing, and administering technical operations maintenance related programs.

    These functions will typically be in direct support of a specific facility (or facilities), location, or functional area.

    Develop engineering specifications and designs for process, operations, calibration, material and test equipment, installed or portable process instrumentation, or functional area systems.

    Develop, review, and implement operating and calibration procedures and standards. Plan and implement process and design changes for new and existing processes, systems and equipment. Maintain inventory of fixed and portable testing equipment. Prioritize projects and programs to reflect shifting DOE priorities. Prioritize and plan technical support programs to achieve division goals. Develop performance indicators to persuade senior management of projected program and equipment changes.

    Oversee installation of new equipment, major equipment modifications, and various other major equipment issues which support processes, calibration, measuring, or site operations.

    Conduct technical reviews of proposed operations, calibration, or measuring equipment modifications. Provide technical support to operations and maintenance technicians and other personnel as requested. Acts as advisor to less qualified technical support specialists to meet schedules and or resolve technical issues. May develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.


    Qualifications We Desire


    • Graduate of the Criminal Investigators Training Program (CITP) or equivalent
    • Graduate of a credentialed Counterintelligence training academy/course
    • Experience working with classified information and be able to obtain/retain DOE Q and TS/SCI clearances.
    • Experience with U.S. Department of Defense (military or civilian) or Cleared Defense Contractors
    • Experience planning, developing , conducting counterintelligence or investigative operations, actions, briefings, and reports
    • Strong communication skills for interfacing with internal workgroups, cross-functional workgroups, and multiple stakeholders.
    • Strong accountability ethic related to meeting milestones and deliverables.
    • Prior possession and maintaining of a TS/SCI clearance level.

    Security Clearance Information


    SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications.

    citizenship.
