Clinical Dietitian II
Location:
HSC Pediatric Center in Washington, DC
Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Dietitian II to join our healthcare team. This role will provide nutrition care to our pediatric patients in need of transitional and rehab care. Work schedule is full time, Monday-Friday with occasional weekend coverage.
About the Hospital:
The HSC Pediatric Center (HSCPC) is the only pediatric facility in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area dedicated exclusively to providing rehabilitation and transitional care for children and adolescents from infancy through 21 years of age.
Our partnership with Children?s National allows us to provide the best care for children who are leaving a traditional hospital and are not quite ready to be cared for at home.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, including medical and dietary history, to develop individualized nutrition plans
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families to support health and disease management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and nurses, to provide holistic patient care
- Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition support, including tube feedings and intravenous nutrition therapy
- Develop and implement nutrition policies and procedures to ensure quality care and compliance with regulations
- Stay current with the latest developments in the field of nutrition and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential and current license in the state
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problemsolving and critical thinking abilities
