    Job Description

    The Lead Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for performing patient-oriented procedures under the direction and supervision of a Medical Doctor to ensure safe and appropriate patient care. The MA assists the clinician with medical procedures (injections, casting/bracing, etc.); performs a broad spectrum of clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of patient care which may include, but not limited to, referrals, answering phones, scheduling patients, tracking diagnostic imaging, and inventory management.

    This small clinic is looking for a self-motivated, flexible team player, who is willing to assist the physician with patient care and also willing to help the front office with administrative duties when needed.

    This position is full-time with a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 8am - 5pm and Friday, 8am - 3:00 pm (hours may vary slightly depending on patient appointments).


    Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
    - Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
    - Prepare exam and procedure rooms with necessary instruments for patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments
    - Assist physician with injections, and perform blood draws
    - Assist physicians in applying splints, dressings, and bandages.

    Assist with transfers and scheduling of follow-up care
    - Answer phone calls from patients and schedule appointments
    - Assist with filling medication refills

    Successful Candidate Should Have:
    - 1+ year of experience in an orthopedic OR sports medicine clinical setting (Required)
    - Experience using an EHR system (Preferred)
    - Medical Assisting Certification/Degree (Required)
    - Multi-Lingual (Spanish, ect.) (Preferred)
