Service Technician Job Description

The Service Technician will provide on-site technical support for startup and warranty troubleshooting and repairing for the Company's Commercial product offering. Commercial products include, but are not limited to, Hot and Chilled Water Centrifugal Pumps, Water Pressure Boosters, Sewage Ejector Pits, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and related control systems. This position will work closely with the Commercial Service Manager to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues.

Job Responsibilities

Perform on-site startup, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Commercial products.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the Commercial products, including hardware and software problems.
Conduct preventive maintenance and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Document service work, including troubleshooting steps, repair procedures, and parts used.
Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide timely updates on service progress.
Collaborate with the Commercial Service Manager and Sales team to identify additional selling opportunities and resolve customer issues.
Stay up-to-date and educated on the Company's Commercial products by attending trainings.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

Must have:

5 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC Plumbing Pump and VFD applications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in the field
Strong oral and written communication skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites

Nice to have:

Associate Degree (2 year degree) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
Certification in VFD or control system maintenance and repair
