Role Overview:

The Warehouse Driver is responsible for pulling, loading, organizing, and delivering customer orders for an assigned route. This position also performs warehouse tasks such as picks, packs, loads, unloads and moves inventory within the warehouse. This work utilizes warehouse equipment such as a forklift, hand truck or power device.

The position also performs an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming inventory and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

Conducts daily vehicle walk around inspections, sign log and completes report of any deficiencies to Warehouse Supervisor.
Has a solid understanding of the warehouse and pipe yard layout for loading efficiencies.
Reviews all tickets for special delivery requests and ensures those requests are acted upon.
Pulls orders for route deliveries and ensures accuracy.
Organizes and loads materials based on delivery order, weight, dimension, and overall size.
Checks with Warehouse Supervisor throughout the delivery route for pick up slips that need to be added.
Maintains and utilizes protective safety gear and procedures.
Completes daily deliveries and pulls ship orders for the following day.
Reports any QC issues of materials to the Warehouse Manager.
Keeps vehicle clean and organized and immediately reports any operation issues.
Pick and pack inventory from the warehouse and transport it to the shipping bay.
Stock inventory received in the warehouse.
Count and stock materials based on inventory control log.
Identify damaged, lost or missing inventory and notify Warehouse Supervisor.
Check inventory accuracy to determine appropriate contents as well as end destination.
Receive product deliveries from vendors and ensure that they are properly stored.
Create delivery and shipment reports and ensure that all information is keyed into Eclipse.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and tools used in the delivery or loading processes.
Performs all other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

Two or more years of driving a delivery truck and making customer deliveries.
Knowledge of industrial pipe, valve, and fitting materials.
Class A License preferred but not required.
Proven record of maintaining safety standards while loading, driving, and delivering materials.
Successful customer service experience.
Strong attention to detail on all inventory and delivery paperwork.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a cando attitude.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) to create effective relationships.
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, stand for long periods of time, climb, push, pull, carry, and reach for items.
Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug test where required.
