Role Overview:


The Production Assistant is responsible for activities associated with managing orders in Eclipse, tracking materials for the production team, releasing orders to the production floor, and coordinating with the Warehouse Manager when material is shipped to capture photos of the shipments.


Responsibilities:


  • Utilizes the Eclipse system to create the work orders and ensures material needed for jobs is sourced through our dedicated Purchasing agent.
  • Communicates with the Production Coordinator to ensure that material drops are being used properly to mitigate material costs and adjusts work orders accordingly.
  • Working with the Production Coordinator to ensure that all PO's are received properly and in a timely manner and notify the production team of any material shortages or B/O's.
  • Entering work orders for Anchor kits in Eclipse and issuing them to the production team.
  • Tracks and manages status updates of purchased material as needed.
  • Communicates with the Project management team with scheduling of released orders.
  • Coordinates deliveries and pickups regarding fabrication orders that involve external vendors.
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field of study preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience production/operations for a similar or related industry.
  • Technical knowledge in the area of machinery, tools, gauging, and fabrication.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate positive and constructive feedback to employees, peers, and management.
  • Understanding of production scheduling and product flow.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid ability to problem solve.
  • Must have basic knowledge of math and geometry.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a cando attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written) with ability to create strong relationships.
  • Ability to use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel and inventory systems.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, stand for long periods of time, climb, push, pull, carry, and reach for items.
  • Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug test where required.
