    Description

    Looking for a Second Shift Packaging Lead!

    Are you experienced in leading teams within the food and beverage manufacturing industry, able to work efficiently and keen on a team-oriented role? If so, our Second Shift Packaging Lead position might be the perfect match for you. We are in need of a packaging lead for the second shift to help us meet the increasing demand for our beverages on a weekly basis. This full-time role directly reports to the Production Manager and is based at 8th Wonder Brewery.

    Reporting to: Production Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Regular communication with the Production Manager to fulfill business requirements for the shift
    • Leading the second shift team to achieve daily and weekly KPIs while ensuring compliance with all SOPs
    • Performing daily maintenance on packaging machinery
    • Ensuring a clean and safe work environment
    • Fostering a positive and team-oriented work setting
    • Hands-on involvement in canning line operations
    • Conducting quality control checks during packaging processes
    • Preparing for canning runs by setting up packaging materials, palletizing cans, and shrink wrapping when needed

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience in supervising teams of 5 or more individuals
    • Background in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing industry is advantageous
    • Proficiency in production line tasks like pack out, bottling, and canning
    • Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, canning lines, and keg washers
    • Experience in machinery maintenance and troubleshooting with tech support
    • Familiarity with computer systems like Odoo, Microsoft software, and Excel
    • Capable of guiding a team to meet KPIs consistently and troubleshoot independently
    • Clean driver's license with reliable transportation
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts and adjust schedules as per production needs
    • Capability to lift over 50lbs
    • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
