    Project Manager - Defense & Aerospace

    Location:
    onsite in St. Petersburg, FL

    We areseeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our dedicated team.

    As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing projects within the defense and aerospace domains.

    This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and contribute to the success of high-impact initiatives.

    What can you expect to do?

    Project Planning and Execution:


    Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of defense and aerospace projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.


    Stakeholder Management:
    Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers to drive project success and satisfaction.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:


    Work closely and collaboratively with members of the workcell, including engineering, planners, buyers, and the business unit, to facilitate seamless project execution and alignment across departments.


    Risk Management:
    Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure smooth project delivery.

    Progress Tracking:


    Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and deliverables.


    Issue Resolution:
    Proactively identify and address project issues and conflicts, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.

    Change Management:
    Manage project scope changes and deviations, assess their impact on project objectives, and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.

    Documentation and Reporting:
    Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reports, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

    Continuous Improvement:
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management process, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.

    Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
    What is the experience needed to be successful in this role?
    US Citizenship is required.
    Bachelor's degree required.
    Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in project management, preferably within the defense or aerospace industries.
    Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion, meeting or exceeding project goals and objectives.
    Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
